Joaquín Piñeiro Blanca is a Senior Lecturer (Profesor Titular de Universidad) in Contemporary History at the University of Cádiz. Since 1993, he is member of the Contemporary History Research Group (GEHA). Since 2000 he is secretary of the Association of Contemporary History. Since 2003 he is member of the editorial board of Revista de Historia Actual and Historia Actual Online. Co-organizer of the International Congresses Our Common Heritage, which are held annually at the University of Cádiz since 2001.
